Believe in yourselves – You have the power!

If you haven’t read the article “Simple math on elections”, please review it before reading any further.

It is well observed that the winning candidate does get around 25% votes from his constituency, rather less than that. While those who did not participate in the electoral process are more than 50%, and more importantly, most of these voters are honest, well educated, intellectuals, peace loving non-violent people who have high moral and ethical values.

Here I would ask a simple question through an example:

Your family is going to attend a party but your child prefers staying alone at home, as your child did not like the dress he or she would be wearing. Your child demands for a good dress or else refuses to join the party.

Could you leave your lovely child alone at home, go to the party and enjoy yourself? Of course not!

You would leave no stone unturned in buying the best dress for your child, bring happiness to him or her and you would feel lot happier in taking your child to the party with you.

Then how could those candidates go to the parliament and form the government, leaving millions of children of nation with alone their issues and problems?

  • How could such democracy be perfect which has no concern for the people who did not cast a vote?
  • Don’t they have a right to opine?
  • Why don’t they have a choice?

If they are given a choice, an absent candidate is the winner. Give it a thought.
(It is asserted here that many issues would be raised and many flaws will be highlighted through the articles which will be published on DreamsIndia, before a series of surveys begins)

By not casting a vote, your protest is silent and similar to the hunger strike of a child, which the parents are not even aware of.

Although, DreamsIndia has gained support of more than 15,000 subscribers in less than 15 days, some people have responded as “This is India; nothing will improve”

Again, I ask a question:

Whose India is this? Whose Nation is this? Is this a responsibility of your neighbor or strangers to fix the problems of your home or family? You quickly take remedial actions to fix your family problems then why such a disregard to your nation? Are you pakistanis and is India not your nation but someone else’s? Think over it!

Apart from your 8 hour duty, you devote most of your time to your family. How much time do you devote to your nation? You must learn that just 30-60 minutes in a week can do a lot and you could build “India of your Dreams”.

Believe in yourselves…
Know your power…
Retain your power…
And exercise your power!
